i had a turrible night at work on friday. after dealing with transfer students all day, i had to go deal with 50 year old hick men hitting on me all night at the liquor store. i was in a shit mood, i was rethinking everything that sucks about my life currently, and it was just plain no good. then, the most amazing thing happened: a creepy townie walked in with a big snake around his neck. i asked if i could touch it while he was checking out (yes, i asked a man to touch his python. and yes, that is what she said). and he said, "yeah oh shuuure she's gittin wound up tight anyway" and unravels it and just plunks it down on my arms. it was prettyamazing. i held a ball python at work. yasss.

i saw the hangover last week, thinking back... and there are no words to describe how incredible it was.

so i was going to do the zipp west clay crit this weekend in carmel, buuuut mapquest made a giant fail and we got to west clay 10 minutes before my race was starting. racing fail. the men's 1/2/3 race was the important one anyway. erin axley did the women's race and we sat and talked the whole men's race, while i randomly shot some photos occasionally, ha. evidence:

rained like hell, i lost a shoe somewhere, and i ran into geraint. all good things? except for the rain and the shoe. meh.

i always figured i'd do with the no regrets things. but i ended up with a few. working on trying to find the positives in the situations. and i think i have. i'm just very sad that it's such a shame that some things don't turn out like you'd like them to.

it was a good weekend in la porte. i was preoccupied because of the moving and shit i had to take care of. buuuut selected photo evidence:

and then it was the birthday of an erik yesterday:
