busy bees.

Things are about to get real... look out for a new website launching so soon! I'm so completely excited beyond belief!! It's been a busy last two weeks, what with so many visitors, a lot of FABULOUS bike racing by my better half, and weddings galore (and more weddings coming up!). hope to post at least one of those weddings this weekend so you all can see how fabulous the couples i get to work with are!

this is my personal new york. the view from the 35th floor, the best shower in the history of planet earth, another from my Francesca buzz, and watching celebrity ghost stories and eating crumbs cupcakes with rachel, and the best ferry ride of all time. i did a lot of things, but these are the memories that stand out the most. not your average "i went to new york cityyyyyy" photos, i know... they're just for me!

i know you have all seen my "american gothic" style photo of them..... but these two were so fun and so in love. not all couples will let you drive them out to the middle of nowhere, hike a mile to a giant field (that was chock full of cacti) and then not hesitate to go for it in the middle of nowhere for an outfit change. i cannot WAIT for their wedding this month!!!! without further ado, hilary & john!

an update.

My apologies for the supreme lack of posts... life became a whirlwind that kind of swallowed me whole! Between my two vacations in the span of three weeks, my sometimes 60 hour work weeks, and the photoing I've been doing, I abandoned my lovely blog. My weekend goal is to get all caught up on life events and photo blogging before our two weddings this week.... so be expecting photos from Indiana, NYC, two fabulous couples, and a metal band, very sooooon! For now, i'm going to throw some instagram up from the last month so you can see all the serious love and fun I have going on in my life, from going back home again to indiana, to a few of a fabulous shoot we did (please note my american gothic face), my first Avery experience, and a select few from my visit to New York City.

american gothic.

too good not to share from this weekend's plethora of shoots....

anyone who knows me knows that I have a real thing for "american gothic" style photos. these two happily obliged, and with brilliant results! more of their REAL photos coming soon, i just had to get this one out there!

i believe this. totally, completely, wholeheartedly.

my yogi tea knows me better than i know myself.

i made some personal resolutions in the last few weeks, and one of them was to start saying YES. In the last week, saying yes has lead me to some really awesome things.
george gave me some y-riders kit shwag just for saying YES to going to his spin class instead of my usual Y-pump class.
said YES to breakfast at the Village (which is always a good idea), which lead to me having a fabulous brainstorm sesh inspired by things said at breakfast.
said YES to going to erik's race in louisville, and i had a great time and got some great shots.
said YES to starting TRX classes, and my body isn't thanking me yet, but it will.

and then this week, inspired by my YES mentality... i took a risk. i jumped out on a long limb. and it worked out... and as a result, i'm going to chicago in october to do something i've wanted to do for a long time.

i don't even owe my happiness to myself.
i owe a thanks to everyone in my life.
thanks to everyone in my life that inspires me daily.
you're inspiring me to be the person i see myself being.

and i'm not a countdown person, but...
exactly two weeks from today i will be back home again in indiana.
and then five weeks from today, i will be in NYC.
life is good.

a fabulous afternoon spent at the louisville crit. for all my midwestern people, the colorado louisville is pronounced totally different... it's "lewis-ville" instead of the kentucky louisville, which is more like "luuahhvull".
